I bet you’ll love what we’re about! I’m Katie Phillipson, founder and Artistic Director of “As One Harmony,” a secular nonprofit organization that makes performance accessible to all, benefiting youth from TK-12th grade. I invite you to imagine an artistic social service focused on music performance, education & expression—spreading the power and joy of music to uplift & unify both the individual & community. This is all exactly what As One Harmony provides! And these services are desperately needed. If you think about it, it’s pretty apparent, especially since the pandemic, that focus on mental health, connectedness and positive social interaction should be a focal point for our youth. Every person, but especially our youth, need authentic, uplifting interaction and meaningful connection to their creative side, their peers & their community. They need an avenue to express themselves, feel heard and offer their gifts & compassion to others. And what better way to do this than with friends, as a part As One Harmony performance groups? (And for moms at heart, I offer a fun, laid-back group for adults who love to sing—for those who may not read music or want to join a more serious choir but how love to sing and would love to learn about voice! Join our “Mamas Messin’ with Music” group on Monday nights! Info on Private Voice page).

I think about what I would have wanted growing up—what would have served my growth. As One Harmony has several exciting & deeply valuable services: the first are our no-audition vocal performance groups, TK-12, where we explore singing in the way it’s meant to be: low-pressure & joyful. There’s a definite place in the world for audition choirs, but at As One Harmony we sing because we love to, and it really shows in performance! I am honored and proud to direct these performance groups and look forward to each and every experience with you on your musical journey. ~Katie
