As One Melody is an AOH vocal performance group for 1st and 2nd graders, ages 6-8. Children build friendships & confidence while learning a piece performed with AOH vocal performance groups at the end of the session. As One Melody singers have a blast building fundamental vocal skills such as ear training, solfège, folk songs, musical patterns & rhythm games. They work on a community outreach project offered at the end of the session.
Fall 2024 Schedule: Every Wednesday beginning August 21st: Theater Games 4-4:30, Bells 4:30-5, followed by Singing 5:00-6:00 pm. $59/month. Theater Games and Bells are optional extra opportunities and included as part of membership.
Where: We rehearse at the United Methodist Church, Westlake Village.

Winter Concert: All students will be working towards music for a winter concert on Sunday, Dec 15 at 4:00.
Sunday Performance: We will also have optional monthly performances for UMCWV with secular song selections. Our first performance for UMCWV is Sunday Aug 25, when we will sing “Consider Yourself,” from Oliver.

AOH also proudly offers exciting extension workshops & fun activities on Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45am, where performers rotate: community outreach projects, workshops in acting/improv, dance, ukulele, guitar & other, in-depth vocal training, theory extension & game days. Extra rehearsals near performance are also on Saturday mornings. Details provided on member login page once joined.
AOH is proud to support Pizazz Music Camp, summer 2024. AOH founder, Katie Phillipson was excited to lead the vocal portion of this exciting annual camp, which ran from July 22-26, 2024.
