In addition to vocal coaching, directing, & professional stage & studio vocal work—such as backing for artists such as artist Will James, who hit #1 in U.S. in Jazz, & working with Grammy winner & producer John Wooler (Van Morrison) & Grammy winner Jon Gilutin (Linda Ronstadt), Katie is a graduate of Pepperdine University’s Master of Education/Teaching Credential program. She is a former high school Anatomy & Physiology, Biology & Medical Terminology teacher, aerobics instructor & personal trainer with special emphasis on the scientific benefits of sound & music for overall wellness & harmonious states of being. She is deeply honored to share her love of music and wellness with all ages. In addition to directing her other performance groups, and in honor of her son Gavin, Katie is thrilled to begin “As One Ability,” a choir for children with dis unique abilities. *MMWM is a group designed for moms and moms-at-heart who love to sing but who may not want to join a more serious group or choir. It is for individuals who may or may not not read music or have formal training, who want to explore the joy of singing in a low-key, fun way. I am so excited to offer this! The plan is to have fun & enjoy one another!
